Hitman Absolution Teaser Trailer

I think that looks great, they will build a game again that you can attempt 10 ways of killing someone but no doubt use the achievement system to reward stealth kills and accidents. :)

Cannot wait!

Does look like 'genuine' Hitman gameplay, but still a bit rough around the edges. For all the talk of the new crowd system, it still looked a bit basic in places (like when the car bomb went off and barely anyone reacted), moving through the crowd looked clunky and a lot of the animations are quite poor like walking up stairs, doors opening without any physical interaction etc.

That said, it's still months from release so hopefully they put the time in to tweak all that.

I think he was trying to sell the crowd mechanics as some sort of immersive game changing experience but I can't see how it will really affect the gameplay at all. On levels where there are crowds it will give you an extra place to hide, that's about it from what I can tell. Listening in to conversations amongst the crowd doesn't excite me at all, I bet after the first few listens you'll just hear the same conversations over and over anyway.

I don't really care about there being no character animation for opening a door, the other Hitman games never had it, I quite like it as you don't have to be directly in front of a door to open it, useful for hiding around a corner, opening the door and taking a look inside. :)

The video looked amazing, I am so glad you have the usual multiple options to take out your target, this will keep the game fresh, at least 5 or 6 ways to take out your target sounds good to me and mix it up with the old fashioned blow everybody away and go on a Killing spree lol.

Really cant wait for this game now, I think that video has put my mind at ease :D

This is IO Interactive guys, they don't *no swear words* up or sell out, that on top of the fact Square Enix are involved is nothing but good, the overall direction of Tomb Raider does nothing but keep my hopes up for Hitman, as it shows Square don't **** all over the companies they support, a la EA with Bioware. This trailer not only showed stealth but you also have to remember the Requiem mission in Blood Money, that was an all out firefight, so even if Absolution has a mission that's the same with these Nun's, it doesn't suggest the whole game is going in that direction.

Another point is that they've never tried to show how superhuman 47 really is from the genetic manipulation all the clones went through, in previous games. If you watched the first trailer all that does is show how much of a Terminator-esque killer 47 is, brutally strong and walking through bodyguards like fodder, with this they've shown how durable he is too, took a blade to the liver if i saw correctly! :p

On a side note, look at how messed up 47's body is with all those scars! Anyone else notice the bullet wound in his lower back from the Oprah House? :p

If you play on the hardest initially available difficulty won't that disable the Instinct stuff? I haven't read up on much of the game because I don't want to spoil it for myself, but is Instinct something which is permanently switched on? Or do you have to press a button to activate it? If it's the latter then you could just restrict yourself from using it and it wouldn't be an issue.

As far as I know its the new map. You press the "map" key and it enables it, showing you routes of certain enemies and targets.

Oh and purist mode doesn't have instinct.

Ha I liked the map too. I liked how it didn't pause the game and you could sit there and plan your moves watching a little red man icon slowly drift around the screen. Assassins creed uses this instinct mode (eagle vision) and I'm not that into it. Its a bit awkward, I'd rather just have a trusty map. Oh well, it's Hitman, I'm sure I'll love it :D

Gutted that purist mode isnt available from the start. What's the point when I've already learnt the map! Sure I won't of found all the paths... but i'll still know the level.

I want Purist mode from the get go :/
