Hitman question ***SPOILERS*** perhaps

Well have had this game for a week or so and im quite engaged in it, did the first mission quite easily but i seem to be having major probs with the vintage year mission.
Basically no matter what i do i keep getting pumped full of bullets by the guards, even taken most of them out by the fibre wire but to no use.

So how do i get past this tiny problem and where in gods name am i supposed to go to complete the mission...im lost lol:p

Any help or tips would be mucho appreciated:).
 
Definite spoilers approaching, a step by step account to completing the mission......
















First of all, don't enter the mansion when the other 2 guests arrive. Go around to the right, and you'll see a guard patrolling on his own. Follow him to the very end where he looks out over the edge, sneak up behind him, and use the sedative needle on him. Steal his clothes and his shotgun, and pick up the ammo from the stool close by.

Turn back around and start walking back towards where you came, and you'll see a door on your right. Enter it, then enter the door on your left. You'll be by a building with some tables outside it. Go inside this room and there should be a guard right in front of you. You'll also notice a set of crates on a pully system. Go down the stairs and stand under the crates, then make a note on the map of exactly where you are. Go back up the top of the stairs, wait for the guard to go downstairs, and place a mine on the pully system, and leave the area. Go back through the door which you came through a minute ago (to the right of the building you were just in), stand in a corner, and bring up your map. Change the map location to the building you were just in (I forgot what it's called but you'll know). Wait a while, and you'll see your target walk around, and eventually go in the area underneath the crates. Blow the bomb using the detonator, and you'll kill him.

Now go back towards the building but go past it, towards the far right corner of the courtyard (there's an exclaimation point on the map about this). You'll notice there is a drainpipe you can climb up, so do it, get on the roof, and immediately climb in through the window to the right of you. You're now in the room with the father who needs to be killed. You can do this in one of two ways. Wait until he is playing his instrument, and kill him from behind in any manner you choose, or wait until he's finished, follow him into the next room (there's a guard there asleep, so make sure you're creeping), then push him over the edge of the balcony.

Now creep behind the sleeping guard, use the sedative on him, and take his clothes and his gun. You can now walk out the front door of the building with no problems. Make your way down to the jetty where the plane is, and you're done.

Mission over, two people killed, not a single shot fired :)

Thanks for explaining it, i know where i was going wrong so ill give it a bash tonight and see if i can finish off that mission.

Done :), damn they were nice sigs but too high :(...oh well will go home and see if i can photoshop it a tad.
 
im on the opera mission, still doing it after a few hours of scoping out different ways and peoples routines :)

Hmmm still having probs killing manuel i think his name is, the guy in the pink shirt. Ive set it all up...put the remote bomb and then wait for him to go under the crates...he does with someone else but he stays in te top right corner of the box...where the crates are meant to crash down. So i press the remote button and it crashes down but only kills the guy next to manuel...arghhhh...even tried setting the bomb off as they went by the pulley but again its always the other guy who gets killed lol:p....one fustrating game i admit....cant seem to kill the first guy off:(
 
I did it a different way to Davey. ****Spoilers****












Like Davey said, go round to the right hand side to the end of the wall and through the door on the left. Climb over the crates and drop down the other side. Run up behind the guard walking inside, then start sneaking about, turn left through the door, the left straight away into a room with a sleeping guard. Steal his clothes. Walk back out and round to the building with the stairs. The first taget should be downstairs in a room on the far right. Walk in and stangle him and quickly chuck him in the box before the guard walks round (if doing it on anything other than pro, save first as it may take a few goes).

Head back upstairs and go right after coming up the stairs and go through the doors with the guards by them. Go right across the garden and up the drainpipe on the building, go round to the left and through the open window. Watch and wait till target two has finished playing then follow him to the other room. When he is on the balcony, push him and he'll fall and die. You now have 2 options.

1. Go back out the window and jump straight off the roof to the outside, go down the cliff to the water and walk round (you'll still be in guard clothes so don't worry) walk round the edge of the water and onto the plane.

2. Go back the way you came and into the building where you picked up the guards clothes and pick up your suit again. Wait till the patroling guard has gone then walk out and round to the water again. As you are wearing your suit you will have to sneak past the guards and onto the plane. This will gain you a silent assasin rating.

This is all from memory, i'll have to check it out when I next play it.
 
Hmmm cheers creature, i might give that way a go later tonight...usually i give up on a game this pretty fustrating but for some odd reason im pretty much hooked on it. Even my gf is now moaning that im spending too much time with my 360 rather than her:p...think it might be time to chuck her back on a plane back to NYC:D:p.
 
if you are in your suit going for the SA rating, push the first guard on the jetty into the water, rated as an accident so doesn't count against you, and makes it a lot easier than messing about with a coin to distract him. Probably worth saving before you try it just in case a chemist comes out of the lift, or you wake the sleeping guard.
 
from memory,

you cant be observed, no red warning moments, no bodies discovered (unless they died in an accident) and no weapon kills, plus I think you have to minimise "collateral" damage i.e sedate people for their outfits etc. Oh and no surveillance cameras recording you, or by the tv crew on vintage year (never seen them myself).
