HL2 mod troubles...

I got the HL2 mod "DoomEd" off PC Gamer's coverdisc, and have installed in the SourceMods file, and it shows up on my Steam Games bit. When I try to launch the thing, Steam just says:
"Steam - Error. This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time."
I tried it yesterday, and I've tried it again this morning. What's the problem?

What Steam games do you own? As it may require a specific game to run.

I have HL2, CSS, HL2DM, and HL2 Lost Coast. DoomEd needs plain old Half-Life 2, just normal HL2, vanilla.

Possible but unlikely - how are you launching the game? right click->launch? If so try double clicking instead. Like I say, it's unlikely, but sometimes it happens

I've had this problem myself, not with that mod, but with Garry's mod. Double click to launch fixed it, rather than right click -> launch, also this was after a Steam restart.
