HL2 Orange Box Level Saves

I want to do a clean install of my OS.
At present with HL2 Orange Box, I have all the completed game levels available to replay and want these to be available after I re-install it.
There are no files inside my Valve/Steam/SteamApps/User/half-life 2/hl2/SAVE folder.
Are they stored on my pc or is this downloaded from my steam account? :confused:

Not sure where it stores saves (it's not online at any rate), but if you don't care about the actual saved games and just want to play the levels again then it doesn't matter if you have saves or not, just open the console and enter

That seems strange because thats where all my hl2 saves are kept :confused:

You could just do like Zogger says and do the level unlock code.

You are checking the right folder, like Episode 2 and not Half-Life 2 right?
