HMV download problem.

I'm doing a favour for the kids of one of my clients and have a slight problem.

They are registered with HMV for permanent downloads.

They can buy albums but cannot download.

An error is generated saying " The Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) could not be started, it may be disabled. Start it in yada yada etc."

IT is started and running so anyone got some ideas.

Have raised query with HMV but they say can be 72 hours before it gets a response.

Stop it, then restart it.

Make sure that the service is running. You can find them in Administrative Tools in control panel.

Stopping and restarting makes no difference.

Use a different PC.
Is it a policy issue that local IT may have forced?

Some kind of firewall rule preventing the service from communicating with the site?
....probably not but just a thought
