Ho hum ....

I've driven one with a proper roof and it was awful. I can only imagine how rubbish it is with more weight and a leaky roof. It's not a proper 2+2, unless you have many amputee friends. It's competition is equally as hopeless, it doesn't detract from how terrible the 206 is. I'm not the only person with this opinion.

Surely a convertible roof is less weight? And what's wrong with a 206? I thought pugs were generally considered to be "okay"?

Ignoring the 206 because it's a metal roof most convertibles are heavier than the coupe equivilents. Although the roof itself is light, the mechanism for it and more importantly the considerable extra strengthening required once you remove a roof makes for lots more weight.

Pugs used to be ok - in the early 90's. These days they appear to have lost it :(

To my eyes, this car has one sole purpose. It looks nice and girly, its fine for girls to toddle down to the shops in, and at the same time it makes them appear more attractive than they actually are.

In my experience, people who usually buy this type of car couldn't care less about the finer points of handling dynamics and its certainly not a car I'd entertain buying....

BUT I don't think this car was ever intended to be the ultimate B road weapon or motorway cruiser. So in a class where it doesn't have many competitors - if at all - at this price range, why is it so bad? It meets its target audiences expectations, is readily available in pretty colours, and lets girls get topless ;)

Whats the problem???

I was a pug enthusiast through and through, had a number of hot 106's, a couple of 306's and a 306 roadster. I went to the motorshow with a pug VIP pass when that thing was released, it looked funky but then I sat in it.. OMFGG what had they done.
The roadster was the last new pug I ever bought....

Makes more sense when you take into account the trade aspect of it :p

Most women buy crap cars. One of my gf's mates had a Ka that rusted like mad so she went out and bought... another brand new Ka :p

I asked a couple of my female friends what car they'd buy for 16k today.. one of them said a Ka and the other a Focus

Admittedly the Focus isn't a bad choice, but for 16k? And a Ka??:confused:

How many of these have you driven? What other 2+2 convertible are you comparing them to in the price range?

the 206cc is not a 2+2

the term 2+2 would imply a convertible you can actually get people in the back of, like an A4 convertible or 3 series convertible

the 206cc rear seats are nothign more than a glorified parcel shelf.

That looks like a nightmare to reverse out of big long narrow road uphill with wheely bins randomly, I feel for you. Oh cars not my cupa but women love them.

:(

Your missus looks very nice SB118, obviously you went for looks rather than car knowledge. ;)

I decline to answer that question on the grounds i may incriminate myself ;)

Weird location for a garage, no?

My backyard is at the end of the lane, means i effectively get the parking space outside :)

It's a nightmare when the kids open the doors into the walls :( I usually reverse down the lane, much easier to control.

It's an awesome car because:

1.) It's a girlie car that looks cute.
2.) *Repeat above to infinity*.

That is all that matters in this case, and if she could have got a perfect F430 for the same price, she wouldn't have because it isn't as cute. Woman logic :D

My brothers girlfriend has one the same as this, it's horrible. I have been in the back and it was the scariest most un-comfortable moment of my life. In a crash the front head rests would be what stops you from going forwards way before the seatbelt stops you.

At least the headrests are soft :p

Doesn't that result in severe injuries to the person in front? Transmission of kinetic energy through the seat into the person in front, worsening their trauma?
