Hobbies?

I'm liking the ideas of photography and RC heli's/planes, I already play bass and guitar but fancy trying something completely different.

Good suggestions so far and interesting seeing what else everyone does :)

How do you practise landing a RC plane? Do you get a cheap model first so it doesnt matter when you crash, then get a more expensive model when you can land without crashing?

You can build drones at the moment using ardupilot which do automatic landing/take off. I am looking to get involved with that but you need to splash out on about £300 worth of kit.

Those are mine, but since I don't have money at the moment it's all I can really do.

Cross Stitch (you may think it's a bit girly but look at these) a very relaxing hobby requires concentration so if you want something that will pass time unknowingly, do crosstitch.

Was at some arts and craft shop today and spotted a Eddie Stobbard cross stitch kit so if you don't want flouncy cutesy girly ones there are butch ones out there :)

I like cross stitch, haven't done any in too long :)

Those cross stitches could use some anti aliasing, especially that peacock, I think you should force AA in gpu control panel.

Photography.

But the line is so blurred these days i am not sure if it is still a hobby or a job.

I still shoot for fun but mostly I shoot for clients of late.

Or if you are not a retard, Photography, another one that I dont think has been mentioned... Home improvements/decorating (if you have your own place) very time consuming and you will have a sense of accheivement once you are finnished, then start again :D
