Holiday 2011

a quiet one this year, mallorca for a week in june with family, we'll probably hit the bars on a couple of nights but we're all inclusive so I don't imagine it'll be too pricey.

Might take the gf away for 3-4 days around sept time.

Then a weekend in eastern europe with my mates towards the end of the year.

Oh and not going out with a teacher for once is a massive bonus when it comes to holiday prices!

Went to Turkey over the Easter break and hopefully depending on my after uni job situation I may head on a last minute deal near the end of the year with a few mates.

going to where i am now ,st agnes ,this is our first week ,done portreath to devoran coast to coast on bikes today and had a fun surf, suppose it is about time we went abroad again but dont like leaving dogs

I think very possibly over to Gibraltar for four nights in June and then who knows what we'll do in either August or November. Might see if I can get a week in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Cape Verde, Cayman Islands.... depends where I can find a good deal and what my money looks like at the time.

Camping in Sweden with the girlfriend in June.
South Africa towards the end of June for 2 weeks. Work mixed with pleasure. Probably more pleasure!
Probably somewhere .. Greek .. in July and again in August.
Probably 2-3 weekends away in Europe throughout the year.

Man I love this time of year. Holiday booking season!

Me and the missus are fully booked now for our holiday this year, 15 nights in Orlando.

Fly out with Virgin Atlantic from Gatwick on 21st August, staying in a 2 bedroom apartment at Floridays Resort, possibly the cheesiest hotel name ever but rated very highly. We've upgraded to Premium Economy seats both ways as my missus is 6ft and I'm 6ft4 so we need the extra space really.

2 things , I assume you know about the strike possibilty, I fly August 8th :(

also they have lost all the LGW PE seat assignments ( log in and you will se they are gone ) so you will have to sort those out again at some point

sorry for bad news :(

I wasn't aware of the possibility of the strike, we chose Virgin due to their lack of striking through their history, thanks for letting me know.

We've upgraded to PE seats through expedia, so I'm not sure how that will work out but I assume it will be fine?

The result of the ballot will be announced 21 June, the strike can be anywhere from 1 week after that, I fly 8 July ( not August as I said ) so I am prob more at risk than you

you won't lose your PE seats but if you have pre selected seats then those selections have been lost

We've not chosen specific seats, so not too important.

I hope that the strike doesn't go ahead, it will be a royal pain in the bum if it does affect us given that we don't even live in England and will need to stay in Hotels.

Whats this about?

I'm literally about to book Virgin Atlantic into NYC and out of MIA - I've heard nothing about strikes?!

Should I hold off?

I'm going to the Algarve for 2 weeks of relaxing then a week after I come back I'm off to Germany for 5 days of drinking for a stag do - should be a fun month!

I'm wanting to go away for a week or 2 with the mrs when I get back from afghan.

We can't decide where to go, I want a nice beach, not stupidly busy but enough people to make it a nice atmosphere, good food and beachside bars :)

Any recommendations?

Kos, greece. Just don't go near the heavily touristy towns, rent a bike and cycle about, it's lovely if you find the right hotel to stay in :)
