holiday ideas for a week

hey in the start of september i get a weeks leave and me and some friends are thinking of going somewhere, we thought about road trip down to france/spain. Or go skiing, possibly just a week in the sun somewhere but were unsure. Anybody got any ideas for us? Don't want it to be too expensive!

Road-trips are overrated, unless you can find a non-drinker who's happy to be the designated driver

Hmm are most of the busy holiday places empty at that time, its about the same time uni/college etc starts up, whats rome like?

Never been on one but i would love to. You should go to canada and travel through the whole of the USA. I bet that would be very fun.

Loads of places are full up in September, I cannot find a hotel room in Seville, Nimes, or Amsterdam
