Managed to get just under 3 weeks off over Christmas, want to go away somewhere hot with the better half.

Was going to go back to Egypt but looking at it the weather doesn't look that great (15-24 degrees)?

Looking to go away between 23nd Dec and 8th Jan so where would you go for decent hot weather?

4* or 5* all inclusive, 2 weeks, flights from London and budget of around £1000-£1250 each. Would like to avoid stupidly long flight as I can't stand it.

We stayed in Hilton Sharks Bay in Sharm el Sheikh in August and it was 40 degrees and lush so something like that. Looking to mainly relax round the pool and just chill out.

Thanks

If you want super hot weather in December and Egypt isn't enough then you need to go to the Southern Hemisphere.

In the Northern Hemisphere December is in a season called 'Winter'.

I'm not after 40 degrees but 24 just sounds a bit too low. Although I know someone who went to Egpyt in Winter and came back looking like Eddie Murphy.

There goes Australia out the window :P

But maybe Costa Rica could fit your budget? Still 11-12 hour flight.

Hmmmm I'd say anything over 6 hours would really be pushing it. My longest flight of my adult life was to Egypt and I struggled with that.

caribbean its peak season there

you should just about be able to pick up one of the cheaper resorts for that kind of amount, 4* may be pushing it though

Bit far I think, may have a look though.

Kenya's not bad, near and stupidly hot.

Edit; I'd be spending another few hours on the plane (with a stop over if needs be) and going to Asia though.

Caribbean would be ideal, weather will be good at that time of year as you'd be going just after the rainy season.

Go here, nothign more you need to know

we have been for last 3 years in Jan/Feb, it's superb

Premium drinks, no kids, 4 poster bed and Jacuzzi in room, mini bar and 24hr room service included, all evening restaurants are a la carte

trust me you will love it :)

might be just above budget for 2 weeks but not much, First Choice are usually cheapest and even their economy seats are 33 inch pitch
