Holiday Is Australia, VISA?

Hello all,

I am lucky enough to be going to Australia for christmas i will be going for 18 days.

Now i wanted to know, do i need a visa to stay that long?

If not is it as simple as getting on the plane and just filling out a boarding card?

Out of interest how long do these things take to process i submitted my form on Saturday, received my auto reply on monday but haven't heard anything since.

I didnt realise i needed one either.

I leave on the 15th of December and i applied for my Visa last saturday!

I just cant believe it has taken so long.

I just rang them up and it has been approved.

So all is good.

My girlfriend is Australian, i met her over here 3 years ago so i am going back for Christmas and to meet her family for the first time!

She lives in Tallai near Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, i know they have a lot planned for me over there but i haven't seen the full itinery yet!
