I cannot believe there isn't a thread.

As Covid restrictions become "normal business" and faffing about has reduced we've started to resume our travel addiction as I am sure many of you have or are about to this year. Where goest thou this year OCUK???

I wish you all happy and fulfilling travels!

We did Dubai again last year, nice but yawn.

This year we have:

Feb - Dallas (work)
May - Antigua
Sept - Istanbul
Nov.....TBC!

No dates set in stone yet but we'll be having a gin tasting at crieff hydro this year along with a tour of the Edinburgh gin place as we've got vouchers to use up. I'm thinking as well of surprising the missus with a holiday in August for her birthday. Just not thought where yet.

We dont go abroad but this year we have

April - Primrose Valley in Yorkshire
August - Butllins Skegness
October - Anglesey
Dec / Jan - Butlins Skegness again for NYE

Spent so much time at the haven site at primrose valley and also Anglesey as my oldest went to Bangor uni, both on my future to revisit lists, not fussed about abroad after my last 8 weeks in Spain (1k inc travel and spend) it was great to be back in Cornwall tbh

Got Portugal booked for Easter weekend.

I make an effort to visit a new country every year. This year, it either be Denmark or Morocco.

Looking to book a flight to Belgium for April for an Cyber Security conference and meet with a few friends.

Not sure.

I'm tempted by either of these for my adventure holiday:
Cuba kayaking - December
Rwanda kayaking - tbc

And for more normal holidays:
Somewhere in Europe for a cheap holiday. But this might be Iceland (not cheap!)

And a few UK camping/glamping trips.

Nothing is booked though as not passed probation in job.

….must……resist……Rwanda joke :D

I want to go but 2 things.

1- Is it a place to go solo?
2- not sure which season is the best…

I guess people go for the landscape so need to hire a car and do the golden circle?

I went in 2017 with my friend, it was during their "Summer" and the temp went no higher than 8 degrees. No Northern lights during that time but nearly 24 hour daylight.

We met plenty of solo people travelling there. Mostly from the US and Canada. Also its the most expensive country I have visited. Beats Switzerland, Norway and Sweden.

I dont think id suggest driving there as we did a few coach tours and whiteouts were common place, Iceland's weather changes from one second to the next, plenty of tours and the guides were incredibly friendly.

We went in march, it was cold but fantastic.

As above its the most expensive place ive ever been but damn its worth it.
