Episode on E4 now, hannahs birthday party, playing in the background.

Man and a woman singing 'get on up, get on down' 'heyyyy'

It was also played as max walked in on claire sniffing coke a few months back. I posted on here but nobody knew it :(

have you tried the hollyoaks website?
 
yeh I tried that before, but it only lists the songs they introduce the episode with, or ones that happen like they did at the end of todays episode, not back ground music. I even emailed them asking but they werent very helpful.

No idea if you're still looking for this song since your post is nearly 10 years old. I replied a couple of weeks back but unfortunately my reply was taken down because it was considered to be spam. I must admit that I did get a bit carried away when explaining the whole story of how I found the song after years and years and years of searching for it. So this is my second attempt which hopefully will not get my account banned again. I couldn't contain my excitement when I found the song and just wanted to help out somebody in exactly the same situation! It seems that I was a lot luckier than you were when I contacted the Hollyoaks enquiries team. On YouTube I found an old episode of Warren and Louise talking and in the background the song was playing. I provided the enquiries team with this and they were very helpful and told me that the song is called 'Take Me Higher by Igor Dvorkin & Duncan Pittock'. They also told me that the music was commissioned for the programme therefore making it unavailable to the public - No wonder why we couldn't find it! I did indeed!!! Were you also looking for the song? I found it twice. Once when I was searching for it years back and had no idea what the song and then I found it again recently not long before finding out what the song was. Haha! Funny enough, not even Shazam could have solved this mystery! Even when I found the full version of the song and tested out Shazam's abilities, unfortunately today's trusty music detector couldn't recognise it at all :P
