Holographic Display

I'm no futurist, but my personal belief is that holographic displays wont ever take off without some major new tech brakethrough. What I think could potentially take off is a 3D display that is comprised of layered transparent LCDs You wouldn't be able to touch inside the display as it would be basically a big plastic box, but the potential for 3D could be interesting, I think there has already been work on this actually.

like dream come true, that with dawn of war would be uber cool, i want one, im a tech head to the core - just smoke and mirrors almost literly though

when this goes big ill have to get one but for the mo my new 32" samsung hdtv arrived unexpectently
