where did you get your macro flash from SDK? and how much was it? normal flash just doesnt cut it with macro imho

The Canon MPe-65 goes up to 5x life size. My setup goes up to 2x life size (2:1) and that is pretty much the limit for hand hold focusing.

My Canon MR-14EX Macro Ring Flash was £300 from HK. It has considerably increased my success rate of in focus, not blurred images.
