Into a Duracell recharge Your Life compo a while back and got this today:

Your photograph was chosen as one of the top ten images by a panel of renowned photographers, including Huggy Ragnarsson, from over 700 entries!

As a runner-up, your image will be featured in a four week exhibition at Getty Images Gallery in Central London running from 29th September until 25th October. We would love for you and a guest to come and celebrate the opening of the exhibition at a Private View we are holding on Thursday Oct 2nd.

As well as the above you have also won the following:

* 1 x Canon Powershot A590 Digital Camera
* Tour of the Hulton Archive

This is the greatest thing to happen since the chocolate machine at my workplace gave me 3 for the price of one and someone left an extra 50p in the machine one day :-O
 
I really like the photo mate, there's something about it that really draws you in... and well done !!!

I suppose it's only a runner up prize at a value of £125 :p but the bonus being pic in a Getty exhibition and also The Independant and a private tour of of the their archive!

I'll just use the camera as a cheapo video recorder or give it to my sister or something :p



Edit* The A590 looks like a decent compact digicam too, has IS too so. Maybe I will keep it and use it ;p

It has Digic 3, can you let me know what it's like at ISO400? i'm thinking it could be quite handy for backstage usage by a 3rd person when shooting in hair salons or a studio or something as well as VGA video!

Selling it as brand new I'd get £100 for it really as it would still be treated as 2nd hand by average Joe but I'm sure I could stretch to retail price with fancy pics on the bay but I really do need a compact for a multitude of uses where the 40D is just too bulky and unsafe to lug around at times!
