Holy Hell OcUK!!! A64 4000+ overclock (Now at 3.1GHz+)

Just got me AMD 4000+ from OcUK. Set it up and straight to 3.0GHz at 250x12 on my Neo4 Plat. It's not breaking a sweat yet so more to go I reckon.

Blimey! 3.0Ghz+ for £65 + VAT (from last week's TWO). I'm laughing! Nice one OcUK. :D

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've been away for weekend. That's at 1.47 volts (nearest my MB will get to 1.45v), but only because what I read on here about upping the voltage to 1.45volts. I didn't even try stock volts, but once I've hit the wall in speed I'll try turning down the volts to see if it affects stability.

It's under a CNPS9500LED and it's definitely get more to go. Going for 3.1GHz next. :) Will post screenies when I've found as fast as it will go!

This is just getting silly. Now at 3.12GHz (260x12) on 1.47 volts ON AIR!!!!

C'mon Gibbo, don't you realise that I've better things to do with my Sunday than push a £65 chip faster than 3.1GHz on air cooling... ;)

Just priming now, but it ain't falling over. Temps at 52 degrees C. Gonna go for 3.2GHz next.

Awesome. :)

very very nice overclock m8 especially on nearly stock volts and on air, i am seriously considering ordernig one of these, did you buy a retail or is yours an OEM

Hiya.

Mine's an OEM. Dunno what the retail chip would do!

Well, it appears that 3.12 is as fast as it will go stabley on that voltage. I don't really want to crank up the volts as I'm soooo GPU limited now on my X1800 GTO that's there's no point in going any quicker.

Here is the CPU validation. Running 52 degrees under load at this point.

What RAM are you using?

Geil value 2GB kit. DDR 400. Running on a 166 Divider so 3GHz dead is 200MHz RAM... And I'm running 2.7v with 2.5,3,3,7 timings at that speed, so tighter than stock timings...
