very very nice overclock m8 especially on nearly stock volts and on air, i am seriously considering ordernig one of these, did you buy a retail or is yours an OEM

Hiya.

Mine's an OEM. Dunno what the retail chip would do!

Well, it appears that 3.12 is as fast as it will go stabley on that voltage. I don't really want to crank up the volts as I'm soooo GPU limited now on my X1800 GTO that's there's no point in going any quicker.

Here is the CPU validation. Running 52 degrees under load at this point.

Well they seem to be a golden batch then. Looks like AMD have give the 4000+ SD a good send off.

Would like to see one of these on phase :D

What RAM are you using?

Geil value 2GB kit. DDR 400. Running on a 166 Divider so 3GHz dead is 200MHz RAM... And I'm running 2.7v with 2.5,3,3,7 timings at that speed, so tighter than stock timings...

I wasn't going to upgrade my old A64 3000 Venice (at 2.25GHz), but maybe I will. I'm board-limited to 250MHz, but it seems quite likely I'd get 3GHz from one of these. Hmm...

Same kit as I have! I was planning to go Conroe or AM2 to have a bit of an upgrade path in the future, but 939 is looking more and more tempting by the minute! (Especially considering that in a month's time a lot of these chips will be on MM for even less than what you got it for!:p)

I just got one of these little beauties (KAB1E) and it hasen't dissappointed so far. It's on a Asrock Dual SataII board and got to 2.64ghz at stock volts first time no problem (can't see any advanced voltge options on this board sadly, so 1.4v is probably all it'll get). I made this computer for my little brother who just wants it to be stable rather than overclocked, so I'm going to have to take it slowly.

I'll report back with how it gets on in the next few days.

There's a really simply voltmod for the Dual-SATAII if you feel adventurous.

Reminds me of the old Coppermine days ;)
Tualatin Celeron 1.2Ghz @ 1.6Ghz for the win! :p
Faster than some old P4's.

The 4000+'s seem a good batch, although mines only conservately sitting at 2.8Ghz as I put a resistor on the heatsink fan for quiet.
Shhhhhhh. :)

Cel-T at stock 1.2 is prolly faster than a lot of Williamette PIV cpus rofl. The win? heh i had a 1.4 512 at 1627 and 2 or 3 Cel Ts i forgot the stock speed of at a little over 1.7Ghz :D

Mine is currently at 3.12GHz aswell, wont go above though sadly, 260x12 seems to the max for mine, quickly tried it at 1.5v and it still wouldn't budge, lowered the memory on a divider and still nothing.

Will take a screenshot later tonight but im at 12x260 with my GeIL PC4400 UltraX at 1:1 2.5-3-3-6 on a DFI LanParty UT CFX3200 on air :)

Not bad for £65!

Update here is the screenie, prime stable at 1.47 and has been running CSS all night without a crash.

I am hoping the timings will go a bit lower but will keep at it and see where I end up. Wouldnt mind seeing a bit higher I spose however I haven't checked the temps so I assume they may be a bit high, which may be effecting it?

I just BSOD when I enter 270, whether this is the max limit for the CPU or something needs tweaking in the motherboard, i'm not sure, the DFI mobo confuses the hell out of me!

Managed to get a 29 second 1mb Prime test :)
