Having a decent 3.1 setup will sound a lot better for films than stereo.

OK - money is spent.
I popped into Richer Sounds - they sold their last 810 Amp so I grabbed a Sony 520 for £170
I also paid for the Kef KHT7005 Speaker package from Sevenoaks. They have to get it from their head office though so I won't have it until Weds.
Total spend £539

Yep, I was in Richer Sounds looking at some Tannoy speakers and my wife pushed for the Kefs!

OK - all setup and all I can say is WOW.
I had an issue with the Sony amp and swapped it for a Yamaha AMP. The Yamaha sounds so much better.
