Home made pizza, how do you do yours?

Can't beat homemade pizzas. Only thing I'm not 100% happy with is the cheese. Anyone got any good recommendations?

buy focaccia from peckhams
cut focaccia in half
spread pizza sauce on the inside part of focaccia pieces
put cheese on top of pizza sauce
fry toppings in a pan
place toppings on top cheese
place in pre-heated oven or grill for 5-10 minutes

imo this recipe is the quickest way to make quality home made pizza's

That sounds really nice but it's not really in the same class as a fresh dough pizza cooked on a pan or pizza stone.

Pizzas made with store-bought naan breads are similarly nice (much better use for their naan than as actual naan bread...) but once again fresh dough cooked at a nice high temperature is really a step above and not that much more hassle if you are relatively practised at dough making.

edit: Of course, it isn't "authentic" either.

Love making homemade pizza! Haven't been able to find a good crust recipe as of yet though :( First one has foccacia, bell peppers, and pesto. Second is your classic margherita.

That's more like cheese on toast than a pizza.

Sprinkle chilli flakes on the base before adding your topping, and keep a jar of pepadew peppers in the fridge to stick a few on top!

Sauce made of tinned tomatoes, tomato puree, onions, garlic, herbs and black pepper.

Dough made in bread maker (cheating maybe, but does a great job of it).

Fairly restrained on the mozzarella (don't use cheddar!)

Plenty of meat.

not really, the focaccia's are made fresh and delivered to peckhams on a daily basis, it has pizza sauce and toppings, cheese on toast is well cheese on toast.

i dare you try one using my exact method above and tell me it's anything like cheese on toast, it's better than any store bought pizza.

they are small though, so your talking one as part of a main with chips or 2 depending how fat you are.
