Hi guys, i have a Linksys AG241 ADSL2+ Modem/Router connected to 2 pcs, a laptop and a PS3.

Everything is fine except the laptop cannot see the other computers and the other computers cannot see the laptop.

I have ran xp network setup wizard on each pc and gave them individual names as follows. daveslaptop, stevescomputer, mediapc.

I then add them to the same workgroup name, FLAT.

Easy. On all pcs the network wizard completes correctly with no errors.

All computers can connect to the internet fine.

Any ideas what could be stopping my laptop seeing and being seen by other computers?

Any services that might have been disabled or switched to manual?

Cheers

Dave

hi sorry meant to say a few more things but had to rush to work this morning.

All machines run xp pro SP2
All machines are wired to the network/modem router and it shows all four ports are active. Lighting up its little led's.
The laptop it self is not wireless. Its fairly old and i just use it for my room, surfing etc and media sharing.

I can ping on the laptop. I have only done it a few times before but i just did it again and heres the results

C:/ .......ping www.sony.com

Packets: Sent = 4, recieved = 4, lost = 0 (o% loss)
Round trip time
minimum = 184ms, maximum = 184ms, average = 184ms

all machines just run wiondows firewall and when i went to the option allow file sharing in the xp network setup wizard and allowed it.

Any thing i have missed out just let me know

Cheers
