home network setup

ha! ok I somehow have 3 yellow wires and chose the wrong one to connect to my pc ;) However, same applies. (connected both to same router this time too :D ) still cant see folders etc.

Also for the record, be router is 192.168.1.254, cable router was 1.1. So solar was connected right, mine was wrong, erk.
 
I had this problem but i used "net use" in command prompt.

in command prompt type: "net use * \\192.168.1.100\Sharename"

should work, replace ip with the pc's you want to get files off and replace "sharename" with the name of the shared folder. you can replace * with the drive letter you want to use aswell e.g use m: insted of *
