Home network

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you guys could advise me on the best way to create my home network.

Basically the following will be on the network:

A PC acting as a ''server'' holding all music, documents etc
Laptop located in lounge
PS3
2x 360

The laptop in the lounge I want to be able to stream music off the PC, I take it the only way I can do this is to 'share' all the items I want to stream and the PC has to be turned on at all times?

a wireless router is all you need, set up a workgroup and the shares and hey-presto bobs your uncle.
