Home of the Future

the presenter was telling the home owner, that is 330k ppl had those generators installed they could switch off 1 power station

I stand to be corrected but I thought that gas generated electricity supplied the home was more like 15% efficient.

For pure electricity generation you might be right I'd have to check. But because all of the waste heat can be used for heating purposes this is included in the efficiency calcs and bumps it way up. Still not a cheap way of doing it though.

Well I hope it takes off as I hold shares in Ceramic Fuel who developed Blugen, prob more suited to countries who have large gas supplies like Australia or countries looking to get away from nuclear like Japan.

The way of the future. The way of the future. The way of the future. The way of the future. The way of the future.

I watched a bit of it and did have to lol a bit at the father who liked turning all the lights out at night, including the lights for the high tech indoor plant growers. Why sign up for the house conversion if you're going to switch off vital power??

Rgds

Then there was the bit when the wife walked in to the lounge and burst into tears. She didn't seem too happy with the future.

lol, did make me laugh, the house was so cluttered before, and she was complaining about having to keep it clean now

I thought it would be better than it was. Firstly I thought there would be more information on the gadgets used, costs, ect. Essentially I thought it would be like 'The Gadget Show does DIY SOS'! I also found it disappointing that the people living in the house had very little knowledge of technology. It needed a family who whilst wouldn't have used that technology before may have heard of it and be familiar with similar technologies.

Hopefully next weeks episode will be better....
