Hi All,
I'm looking for a home router. Currently using the one built into the Be* box, but.. looking for a bit more ability
So, here are the requirements:
Musts
Should
Won't
So I've been googling around and have seen various options; the Asus N56/N66, A Routerboard, and I'm rather liking the look of the advanced QOS options on the Gargoyle router project (http://www.gargoyle-router.com).
..but if I went for Gargoyle, what router would it be best with? Or does the Asus have what I need? Halp!
Budget is anything below triple figures. Any advice is welcomed
Cheers,
Blueacid

So, here are the requirements:
Musts
- Able to happily keep up with an 80mbit internet connection
- Have decent QOS rules. Gaming and VoIP should always work well, even if I'm doing an online backup or a big download
- Have an Ethernet connection for WAN in preparation for the FTTC (I'll use the Be* box in modem mode in the meantime)
Should
- Have a VPN client or at least decent VPN passthrough
- Log traffic usage per device, although this isn't essential. Just in case I go with a FTTC provider that has a usage limit
- Have Wifi-N, although I'm leaning towards getting a separate AP that I can move separately to the router
Won't
- Be power hungry; I'm not willing to use an old x86 box running PFSense.
