Sound quality is as good, base and volume isn't quite. In the smaller areas (bedroom, kitchen and play room) that's not an issue. In the living room I think ideally we need another (one at either end of the room).
I think I'll probably be tempted in at some point to get a smaller Nest speaker (currently £25, down from £50) and put that in the bedroom and then move that one downstairs so that it becomes the second living room unit. It feels a slippery slope though at the moment as I then end up thinking I may as well get one for the utility room, downstairs loo and various other little locations without knowing actually how much we'll use them.
I still use the Sony BT speaker in the bathroom (for showing) and taking out to work. It's a fairly decent one as I've run many (pre-covid) garden parties and BBQs using it.
