Intercompatibility? Is that the word?

I've got two Solwise homeplugs. One died a few months ago so i'm back to using Wifi, which seems a bit up and down.

I'm left with one homeplug. Is it possible to buy two new ones and have 3 off the same one?

I've got a Virgin Superhub which was plugged into one homeplug. Previously had the 2nd homeplug in the living room for the other halfs PC. Was thinking if I can get two more I could replace the broken one and use a new one in the bedroom for the laptop when I want a better connection.

OCUK don't appear to do any Solwise plugs so maybe a whole new purchase?

Is there much benefit to having a through homeplug and having it direct in the wall as apposed to an extension/multi socket thing? I want to have it direct to the wall but there is no room to use a through one.

Ideas and recommendations please!

Thanks

There's no problem running three (or more) homeplugs together.

You should be able to mix and match makes and models as long as they're all working to the same standard. There's obviously less to go wrong if they're all identical.

Connecting adapters via an extension lead will probably reduce the achievable speed. By how much is impossible to guess.
