So, i thought i'll do some of my I.T work at home (i'm 15) for coursework... ended up doing the whole years course in 3 days... Why don't they just make us stay at school and do it for like 4 days? It may get boring for some, but logic right? I had fun anyway, got into twitter as well! :D

thought? sad? hahaha!

Excellent. Now you can spend the rest of the academic year playing the helicopter game :p

GCSE ICT really is a piece of cake as long as you put a bit of effort in. It's wasn't difficult, but was slightly tedious, as at the time the mark scheme was a bit silly.

Spent most of the time on Miniclip and Shockwave with friends trying to beat top scores. Ah, good times :D

I didn't do GCSE IT but did do AS-level which involved database design in QBASIC and analysis of computers and peripherals, which back in 1997/8 were from the Pentium II era. 15 years later, I would imagine that coding is done in C or at the very least Visual BASIC.

10 internet points to the OP for saying IT as opposed to ICT.

Nah, it's all about installing the Halo 1 trial on the network drive and having huge LAN matches across the school. Even some of the teachers joined in :D

Things have changed since my day. Back then in school "computer studies" was optional and we learned to program on paper tape and punched cards. These were then sent to the local university and run on their computer. A week later you got your results back... Usually a syntax error :)

Now use the opportunity and free time to learn something useful like Linux SysAdmin, Checkpoint Firewalls or Cisco Networking/Security. All you need is VMs and books! :)

All I did in IT at secondary school was use "Notify" to wind up the girls and play Lander/Virus (we had Acorn Archimedes). Loved Repton 2 and Chuckie Egg on the BBC Micros though!

I do this with my lectures also, finish everything and then I'm sitting in class watching tv all day... so productive. Yesterday tho I just went home at half 9, kind of a waste of time even going in but had to, to get marked as present.

I didn't do my IT A-Level coursework until the last 2 days, the teacher thought at the time I cheated and copied someones work, so was only awarded A,A,C,C for the 4 pieces of work,
it was studily easy and made me think why didn't I do it sooner.

haha we used to play Quake 2. Then the systems got upgraded and we moved to Call of Duty 1/United Offensive.
