I've just connected my TP-Link TL-PA211KIT.

All the lights are on constant but i get the following message:

Homeplug adapter not connected - check computer cables.

Everything seems to be connected ok - the orange light is also on my mobo.

However, the TP Link utility software detects my wireless dongle if I connect that!?

Any suggestions?

What modem/ router are you using, & what status lights are you getting on the TL-PA211?

When you bring up the network config page on router are they listed, if so can you delete them, might be a conflict.

Then see if you can then reset them in the Management Utility or try reinstalling them.

You shouldnt see them appear on the router, as they dont request a IP. Are you sure you have them paired correctly? Have you tried again?

Correctly pairing should be done with them next to each other, then you can move them where you like. If they dont show up or have trouble connecting after youve moved them then there must be an issue with your electrics. Pair them without cables in, too.

I've tried this now. After pressing the pair buttons the power LEDs flash for while before going solid (on).

Then I get the same message as before, i.e. not detected.

Any more suggestions (please)?

You need to install the software and do a default/ factory reset on them, I had a similar problem with my tp link homeplugs
