Hey guys!

Some of you may have seen my thread on the PSU issue i just had but i have sorted this idea out now and have decided to upgrade my computer while I'm at it he he.

This is what i have come up with to replace the corresponding parts in my sig.

Now I'm asking you ever so kindly to give me every reason not to get any or all of these parts because i am likely to have this set up for the next few years.

I will probably upgrade the graphics in a year or so but for now i am happy enough to try and overclock them to get some more juice out of them lol.

Thanks guys

EDIT

Where is the list?

Go to Mallorca, you will have better memories ;-)

Oh, and don't buy Samsung 840, go for 840 Pro, or EVO. Or hunt for Toshiba HG5D under 90 quids.

i have an asus at the moment so i have no problem with getting one again but why do you say that? ASRock no good? i want to be able to overclock later when i am tired of stock clocks lol

go for asus, or gigabyte not asrock

Asus are pretty good for overclocking and I heard that board PCB is pretty flimsy. ASrock have come on lots since a few years back but that's just my twist on a new build others may disagree.

I have a similar system and the Asus hero is a fantastic board;)

If you can push for a 4770k I'd get that over the 4670k.

Reason being new games will start taking advantage of the extra threads the I7 has to offer, but it all boils down to the sort of games you'll likely be playing?

The 4670k is still a great cpu especially if you land yourself with a good overclocker, but in terms of future proofing, I'd go with a 4770.

The other option is fx8350-8320, cheaper build and the surplus cash could be put towards a better gpu etc.

The AMD cpu's (especially the 83** range) seems to be doing much better with a few of the latest games, crysis 3, bf4.

If your only using one gpu then it's a great compromise, but imo, if I had the cash I'd go with my first choice, even more so if your contemplating going sli/crossfire.

I just got a crossfire 6850 set up on 3 screens so i was hoping to upgrade the rest. Eventually i will be getting the latest high end GPU but maybe in a year or so lol

I was torn between the 4770K and 4670K lol i just started playing crysis 3 but i had to overclock the GPU's to play on medium system settings and after a while it still stutters in the rain etc so hoping the system upgrade would help lol

Thanks for the advice, i like this board more now lol

Now I'm asking you ever so kindly...

The Gigabyte Z87X-D3H is a cracking board at a excellent price. It does most of what the more expensive boards do including SLI and Crossfire too. A 4670k will hit it's ceiling long before you run out of options in the bios. I just don't see the point of these expensive boards with Haswell when the cpu itself is the limiting factor.

Got these fans because I'm replacing every fan in my current build as they have become noisy and i chose the ones above because they have a slow speed option which is what i will be using mate.
