Honeymoon ideas in England..

Dublin is also a good idea, but I'm not sure about the rules when flying to Dublin.

Driving licence only required when flying from the UK, Anglo Irish agreements allow people to move between Ireland and the UK without immigration checks and as such, no passport is required :)

I'm sure this has been changed to passport only now..I maybe wrong though.

Did you so something bad? Or have you never been abroad?

Probably because his wife is from back home ie Pakistan or India so therefore hasnt got a passport as she hasnt got permanent residency here.

I had this stupid issue 8 yrs ago when i was married to a girl from back home...couldnt take her anywhere out of the country.

Unless im wrong and hes some sort of gangsta criminal.

How did she get to England in the first place without a passport?

It might help if you give some indication of what it is you seek. Do you want countryside or do you want to be by the sea? Do you want things to see during the day, pubs, clubs and restaurants during the evening, do you want City or quiet. Pointless giving any advice until you have given us some background. I can assume by the Lake District you want nice views and walks but some more background might help. This time of the year you should be able to get a nice cottage within your budget most places in the UK, would be my advice as a place to stay.

BUTLINS!!!

 What's wrong with Butlins?
When I got married, it was the day before my son's 3rd birthday and my wife was pregnant so her family decided to send us to butlins, mainly for his birthday present as we didn't really celebrate his birthday proparly as we had just got married.
It was kinda mini-honeymoon / son's birthday so i'm hoping to take her somewhere too...I was thinking Lake District too :)
