It's double what other cars are.

but if you're spending £6k on a car, and tyres for it will cost ~£200 a set, an extra £200 on road tax isn't exactly going to burn a hole in your pocket..

No but I'd rather not pay it than pay it

not if you're getting a better/faster car

would paying £200 pa more tax make you turn away from an otherwise good car?

the road tax on that Mazda 6 is huge its £400 a year

Isn't there a cutoff date for that? I thought it was May 31st 2006, so if it was registered before that, which is could have, it would still be about £230 and not on the new £400 tax?

No way is that ST gonna sell for 6K unless it's a complete wreck. Personally I smell a typo or a scam.

Oh, and my recommendation would be a nice 2.0 Titanium Focus at around 05/06 plate.

i was gonna get 1 or the Mazda 3 Turbo and its the same price for tax so theres no way im gettin 1. Pay enough tax on things and dont fancy paying all that as well

With the lexus you can cancel any sort of breakdown cover you may have, I would probbably go for an ST220

The cut-off was 2001 time, unless there's a second cut-off I don't know about.

The IS200 is one of those cars I sooo want to love, I love the looks, the interior, but then there's the engine :(

Even the RS200 imports aren't supposed to be loads better, although garage near me has a toms 280 version for sale which could be fun :)

The front two thirds is alright, but the rear is a real mess. Those psuedo rear lights are particularly hideous.

The car's looks also have dated quite badly, particularly when the rather handsome current shape IS250 was released.

Bullet proof build and reliability though. If I was in the market for a £2-3k small saloon and didn't care about economy, I'd consider one. Wouldn't pay £6k for one though - that's well into E46 territory :D
