ah yeah thats a good price seeing as its only £15 difference. With that in mind i see where you are coming from.
Im getting my friend stateside to send me a opty 170 at 165 prices
Makes us realise how buggered we get on prices over here... the only thing we seem to get a fair deal on are graphics cards.... excluding the 7800gtx512mb but then thats a piece of... well you know

Ermm *cough* X24400+ *cough* doing 2.6ghz (10x260) prime stable 12 hours with only 1.36v here. Did 2.5ghz with only 1.31v. Fell over at 2.6 with 1.32v after 4.5 hours and I couldn't find the 1.33-1.35v using the % voltage increases so just left it at 1.36v. 39C dual prime loaded .

Thats a kit if Coughing Smids, you got a chest infection? Hehe, that is a very impressive X4400.
I found the same thing when I got my 3700SD, it clocked better than some 146s! And even took on some 148s.
Its just swings and round-a-bouts. I like AMDs style, put better Silicon in one set of chips (i.e. opteron) one month and then better silicon in another set the next (i.e. X**00 series).

I do indeed have a chest infection at the moment. Probably why I'm on here more than usual. Luckily I'm on reading week from Uni, but it also means no reading gets done 
. Oh well, at least I can clock and play CoD2 in that time .
This new 4400+ is great. I'm so glad I decided to RMA my old one - well tbh, the memory controller wouldn't run 2GB RAM even at stock, so I had no choice seeing as I now have 2GB RAM.

Got my 165 @ 2.7 stable, after 12 hours prime temps hit around 34c idles between 24 - 28. Only time it runs hotter is after a session on City of Vilians gets to about 38 then. But i think thats more to do with the 1900 throwing out 80c worth of heat.
