It's actually the MH804-3W head that's causing the issue since horizontal adjustment mechanism refuses to budge whilst the grip/handle slips when trying to rotate it.
I think the tripod is just over twelve months old and I am unable to recall how it was paid for or find a receipt. I was wondering whether I could argue design fault/faulty grip? Presumably you shouldn't be able to over tighten the lever by hand to the extent the handle will no longer grip the stem when trying to adjust it?
Maybe get another head?
