Horrifying Dell customer service, anyone have any experience/advice

Only had 1 experience of the tech support. Had a faulty headphone jack which just stopped working after several months of use. Rang tech support based in India as are most these days. I had one contact throughout all my case. All promised callbacks were met and an engineer came out and fixed the problem quite prompty.

So all in all quite good, but heard as above, plenty of bad experiences.
