seems like a few companies have sought to make more money and stick more than beef again into beef burgers, so glad i hardly eat meat now days....

quote"A total of 27 burger products were analysed, with 10 of them containing traces of horse DNA and 23 containing pig DNA.

'Unacceptable'
Horsemeat accounted for approximately 29% of the meat content in one sample from Tesco, which had two frozen beef burger products sold in both the UK and Ireland contaminated with horse DNA.

In addition, 31 beef meal products, including cottage pie, beef curry pie and lasagne, were analysed, of which 21 tested positive for pig DNA." end quote

good look Tesco and others getting out of what is a sham again over profits

Your assuming Tesco was aware they contained Horse DNA, as for pig if you buy cheap processed crap then it would not surprise me at all for beef products to contain some wastage of pork.

Another reason to avoid processed foods ;) And why I avoid Tesco and other cheap supermarkets :p

Not that I mind horse meat, but if I buy a beef burger, I want it to be beef, not horse or pork.

When I can - yes. However, I know Sainsburys are no better.

Joking aside, I just don't tend to buy pre-made/wrapped foods like burgers when it's easy to make your own. :)
