Horsemeat got me thinking....

To be fair if you thought about everything you eat and the dangers in every thing you do everyday.

You would just stay at home in a corner rocking backward and forwards.

Having a massive garden, a great gardener and living on a farm helps in circumstances like these.
Everything is fresh, you know its origins and it's not full of chemical crap :D

That's a crap article. Titanium dioxide is a perfectly reasonable thing to put in food, and I don't give a damn if L-cysteine started out as hair or duck feathers.

Loads of chemicals in foods started out as insects and animal byproducts. Gelatin for instance is "a mixture of peptides and proteins produced by partial hydrolysis of collagen extracted from the skin, boiled crushed horn, hoof and bones, connective tissues, organs and some intestines of animals such as domesticated cattle, chicken, pigs, and horses." Yummy! :)

Yeah, obviously there are worse offenders than others though. Considering health is all over place it seems these days got to wonder what's causing it.

I remember reading vegetables grown today have like 10% or less of the nutrients they did back in the 50's etc because of mass production and trying to cheapen growing costs.

Forgot where I read it but it was over a couple places.

I don't eat any of the stuff on that site. I'm guessing that the bread stuff is in cheapo processed white bread? If not then I rarely eat the human hair or whatever in the wholemeal bread I buy once a month...

What a stupid article. L-cystern used to be hair? So what? Water used to be explosive doesn't really matter though seeing as how it's been through a process and is now well removed from its initial state.
