Right, got a date with an outrageously hot girl in a couple of weeks via a dating website, looks like she's really into horses having checked out her profile.

I know nothing about them besides the obvious - 4 legs and long faces. How do I brush up on my equine knowledge between now and then? Is there an idiots guide to horses for guys who want to impress pretty, horse-riding girls?

Best off not brushing up on any equine knowledge. You will just bungle it up. Best to ask a few questions and get her to teach you. By all means, read a few basics, but let her tell you. Just be sincere and don;t pretend to care. They can tell . . .
Good plan, I like this approach.

You don't find "outrageously" hot girls on dating websites, unless they are utter nut bars. Post pics!
She's hot, trust me (bearing only a passing resemeblence to Ron Jeremy as pictured earlier in the thread). By her own admission she's "ridiculously fussy" as I asked her how a girl as pretty as her living in London hadn't found a decent bloke yet.

I'm going to meet her in a few weeks next time I'm in London, just working the banter via email at the moment, she seems pretty cool so far.

Flattery will get you everywhere . . . .
I hope so! I wasn't expecting a response from her actually, I said that she was well out of my league and she said that I "definitely wasn't" which was nice.

Ask questions.. don't go with information that 'could' be wrong - then you look like a tool ;) or you look like you have been doing some research ergo - trying too hard = look like a tool.

As Ray said... just listen and ask questions, girls like it when boys pay attention ;)
This makes a lot of sense, cheers.

Will let you know how I get on (will post a pic if I'm successful, not gonna splash her photos around before I've even met the girl)

I guess I'll have to wait and see. She's an "internationally qualified riding instructor" but she's into the usual girl stuff too by the looks of things.

She told me she was fussy about guys a few days ago, I replied saying that it didn't bode well since I have a wonky eye, a limp, I'm missing teeth and I have an oddly high-pitched voice - and I've not heard from her in a few days so I might have screwed it up anyway!

Darn my sarcastic sense of humour...

Oh dear!!! Did you organise a date?
Not exactly no, she said I was definitely not out of her league, then I suggested we go for a drink when I'm next in London and she said yes definitely, but I haven't heard from her since then.

I sent her another email a few days after the wonky eye one saying that I was of course joking and did she still want to meet up but I've not had a response even though I know she's read the email.

Ahh well, the search continues!

How do you know that she has read the email?

So you joked about HER having wonky eyes and missing teeth?! Lol!

BB x
Match tells you when a mail you've sent has been read and when a user was last online.

haha no I didn't say it about her! She said she was really fussy about guys - I replied saying that it didn't bode well for me in which case since I have a wonky eye, a limp, missing teeth and a high-pitched voice. I was of course joking, but it seems the damage has been done!

Sounds like she has no sense of humour, so you probably did yourself a favour. :)
This is what I concluded.

It's kinda weird though, you get a notification each time someone looks at your profile, and she looked at mine again after I sent the last email to her, but never replied - having originally said she would "definitely" like to meet up! Women...
