hosting an internet game with a router

can anyone advise me, running a Bt homehub and trying to host an internet game for me and my mate, thanks in advance xD

Assuming your friend's computer isn't part of your network, you'll have to forward all the relevat ports from your router to the computer on your network that is hosting the game

Look up your router on http://portforward.com/ and follow the instructions and you should be OK.
