Hey guys and girls,

After trying for over a day to figure this out for myself and just being on the phone for 20 minutes to a person who can barely understand me and takes 5 minutes to tell her an address as simple as roxby.ukfsn.org i have given up all hope if technical support helping me and turned to OcUk!

I have a website which is www.roxby.ukfsn.org i use this address and my password in my FTP program to connect to my web space and upload my website.

I have a domain name registered with fasthosts.co.uk which is samtheplumber.co.uk

For several months it has been forwarding fine but after updating my website im trying to make it so www.roxby.ukfsn.org is almost invisible not only when you visit the website but when you search in google.

As you can see when you search for me in google is shows roxby.ukfsn.org instead of samtheplumber.co.uk.

Am i trying to do some thing which cant be done?

I can access the roxby website but not samtheplumber - is the new website up and running?

Once you've got samtheplumber working you need to redirect the old website to the new website using a 301 Redirect. This will search engines that the roxby website no longer exists and to go to samtheplumber for the content. This will remove roxby from search engines and replace it with samtheplumber.

Does that make sense?

Makes sense but i cant 'upload' or connect to samtheplumber.co.uk at all.. its just a domain i registered nothing else!

I have managed to make it show on the ukfsn.org website by changing name servers and adding it... i can actually use samtheplumber.co.uk with my ukfsn.org user name and password to log onto my web space now!

what I feel is you have parked to domain roxby.ukfsn.org on samtheplumber.co.uk, if you are using Cpanel, try to remove park domain from cpanel , also make sure you delete the DNS entry for roxby.ukfsn.org from your server, this should solve the problem.

You want to park samtheplumber.co.uk onto your hosting Cpanel and make sure the domain has the sites DNS servers!
