My brother has got an XPS 710 system, bought 2 years ago. It's been running fine, and still is.
But I was on it the other day, and the room was getting really warm. Odd I thought, I was just on the internet. So I put my hand at the back of the pc, and there was some quite hot air coming out of the PSU.
I don't know if this is a sign it's dying, or something else inside the case is heating up. I checked EVEREST, and mobo temps and cpu temps are fine, all around the 30-40 degree mark. His 8800GTX is around the 70, but that's always been like that. So I don't think it's something else, it's the PSU creating all this heat.
I don't recall his PSU ever belting out so much hot air, and neither does he, just started doing it bout 2-3 months ago he said. I know they use some Generic PSU's in these things, I'm just worried if it'll go, that it might take something with it. The thing is out of warranty now as well, so I need to be better safe than sorry on this one.
