Hmm im not so keen on the muscle cars, its the rat rods that do it for me :D
That bus is awesome, i have seen similar ideas at a small show where my mates boat is moored(we went boating). There was a tranny with a small block supercharged, a yellow really old tranny with a mid mounted jensen 5l v8 supercharged and a sierra pickup with a rover v8 SC'd.
I love the idea of making something so dull tear your face off:D

Isn't the first car there the '63 Biscayne with the 1400 horse twin turbo power plant? I seem to recall reading about it in Hot Rod a few years back.

EDIT: Yes it is. The project is called Chicayne. Here's a few photos of the Aluminum blocked Chevy small blockr.

Gotta love the golden look of the titanium headers once they've been broken in a bit. :D

u can see the tires twisting :D is cool

i saw a clip of dragsters starting im slow mo and u cold see how much the tires twisted at the start
Wrinkle wall slicks are designed to do that. The effect is primarily there to help absorb the launch shock casued by the rapid acceleration of suspensionless cars.

The real impressive thing to watch in those videos of top fuel dragsters is watching the wheel rotate about 1/4 turn while the tire remains stationary before the car launches.

no wonder you think i should change the plans for my bug engine ;)

You knows it.

There's no replacement for displacement...Or failing that, a chuffing huge Turbo.
