One rule on HUKD's, when mentioning OCUK deals do NOT say a good word about them. Every OCUK deal is met by "They are a racist company" remark and people are put of from buying regardless of how good or bad a deal may be.

Whilst I do consult the HUKD site before making some purchases it's hard to sift through due to everyone voting based on their opinions of the product not the actual price.
Anything Apple is immediately voted as cold as the same spec of product could be had cheaper as an example!

HUKDs is rubbish now. Back in its early days, when the site was also very different it was really good. I remember they were finding things like exploits where Littlewoods had been mistakenly sending out Xbox 360 Premiums instead of Xbox 360 Cores that people had paid for.
That all changed though because people started to bulk buy deals in order to sell them on, rather than it being about sharing a good find. Then the site got national mainstream attention and significantly increased its user base. The rating system now means its about people after reputation so posting any old deal they find, even though its complete rubbish, like:
"Walkers Crisps, 15p a bag in Crawley Tesco"
or
"Cadburys Dairy Milk, just past sell by date, only 20p a bar, Sainsburys Newcastle"
I never see any deals like how it used to be. Plus with how well know it is, you can't help feel that retailers also use it to their advantage now.

Some ex-forumites with an axe to grind like to go around saying the ex-owner of OCUK is racist. Non-story.
This is just a guess, but it could be because it's called HotUKDeals, not HotSolveniaDeals.
