What have you done to your house lately? A lick of paint? A new extension? A new blue LED boiler system?

To be honest I have done loads in the last six months as our house was pretty much a blank canvas untouched from it's original building the 1920's, however we have had a new front door and side window today :)

So what modding have you done to your house recently?

We've got a 5 month complete interior renovation coming up and it's going to look amazing when it's done. Lots of walls coming down, stairs being moved, walk in wardrobes being added, lots of very cool stuff.

done: new boiler / kitchen / bedroom carpetted and redecorated

to do: double glazing / guttering and soffits (sp?) / light fittings need replacing (bought, just need fitting) / decorating the rest of the house!

eek!

closest thing to decorating ive done in a while is backing my chair into the mirror on the wardrobe, giving it a frosted effect in one corner

My house is two centuries old. It takes all my monies in maintenance. Saving up for a log burner based heating system to supplement the central heating as we get free wood (currently used in the open fireplaces)

We've recently decorated our downstairs hallway - pics can be provided if required (for proof?)

It's nothing as fancy as the previous post with the nice bathroom and it all takes time but it'll be worth it in the end. :)

1870 mid terrace house.

Retiled and insulated the roof.
Sanded floorboards and built in wardrobe in attic (main) bedroom.
Built/moved walls on first floor to increase size of bathroom.
New bathroom suite.
Knocked down kitchen extension and rebuilt bigger.
Knocked through from dining room to new kitchen.
Stripped all ceilings and walls downstairs for damp-proofing, rewiring, replumbing.
Dug out floor downstairs to pour modern insulated damp proofed floor.
Underfloor heating throughout downstairs.
New weather compensated boiler.
New kitchen + all appliances.
New front door.
Opened up fireplaces - open fire in front room, log burner in dining room.
New patio outside back of house.
New patio at bottom of garden.
Whole garden remodel.
Every room has been replastered/decorated as we have gone along.

I think pretty much NOTHING has been left untouched. Some of the above is still underway, but we should be finished quite soon now

mattg, very nice and very jealous. Underfloor heating too?

I like the re-use of the sink and mirror combo, was it bought to be planned to be re-used? For example, old sink cracked you knew in 6months you'd be redecorating so you bough it?
