Who's job is it to check everything works in the house you are in the process of buying, such as;
Electrics
Boiler
Extraction system/ventilation
Plumbing
Door locks/security
Apparently a mortgage valuation and home buyers report does not cover such things so is it for me to ask the estage agent, arrange another viewing to check as many things over as possible down to testing the kitchen appliances that are built in or just wait until completion when xyz may not work and cost me thousands in repairs?
The property is currently tenanted so presume there should be some things that are kept working to comply with safety standards but this doesnt mean when the tenants move out they will all be rectified. I have also rented for many years and know some landlords do not all comply with certain safety regulations e.g. Regular inspection of boiler
