Come on then ocuk, what painful household injuries have you encountered on ya daily routines?

Cut fingers etc while cooking, but anything out of the norm?

In the past I have none, and god forbid in the future I get any lol.

The one that comes to mind was David Seaman years ago. Went to fiddle with his DVD player, did something to his knee, and was out for a significant proportion of the season if memory serves correct.

Another one was that foreign based goalie who managed to give himself an appointment with a surgeon after dropping an aftershave bottle onto his foot.

yeah I set fire to myself whilst cooking sausages :D

Rubbishy gas grill that only lit 1 in 5 times. I never realised and looked at the grill whilst I held the ignition switch. Toweling robe on fire. Scary...

A pan of boiling water started to slip when i was a youngster, and i grabbed it with my hand and pushed it back on, and left a nice scar mark between my thumb and finger, never again!

Sliced two of my fingers wide open (and I mean wide!) from a glass that was rolling off the drying board, it wasn't a great glass and the second it tipped it shattered and that was the exact moment I grasped it, securing a solid handful of glass shard. I whipped my hand back and slammed it into the bowl of water without looking, pulled it out of the water and it was dripping with blood constantly, I looked behind me and where I'd pulled my hand I'd sprayed blood all over the kitchen units.

Several stitches and 2 scars later I'm still here :)

Canizares. He missed the World Cup because of that.
Leroy Lita missed a section of last season after injuring himself stretching in bed.

I've also cut close to the bone while messing about with a yogurt pot and a knife, i nearly fainted it was quite painful.

Ooo yeah I forgot about the time I burnt skin off my arm.

Was sitting on my parents bed reading something and trying to wake my dad up (he was feeling ill and I was delivering tea! :D).

He sits up and has some of his tea and then for no obvious reason we start play fighting much to my mum's annoyance :p She was awfully insistant that we mind the tea. Next thing I know is that I fell a hot sensation on my arm, hear sizzling and smell burning.

Yep the light I was using to read (clip on snake light) was still on and I had my arm right up against the bulb. From bed to shower in approx. 1.3 secs. Scars all gone now though :(

Oh and my mum poured (accidentally) around about half a pint of coffee over my right shoulder....ow :(

I tripped and fell through a glass door when I was about 5. I remember sitting on the carpet on the other side of the door with my hand on my head and my eyes shut because of the blood running down my face and asking my dad if it was bleeding...duh!

Had to go to the local GP's house and get 12 stiches in my head with a needle and thread and no anesthetic while standing on a chair with my head under the tap of his kitchen sink. That was much more painful than falling through the door.

My mum kept finding bits of glass in my hair for days after it.

I'v fallen down the stairs and made a dent in the wall with my head.
When my pc had a large fan on the front (without any guard) i was leaning over it and accidentally put my elbow into the fan - didnt hurt much but gave me a hell of a fright.
Also tripped over our cats a few times.

Other injuries include:
Brother standing on a warhammer soldier, and it wouldnt come out :D
Cousin got his hand nipped in my powerball

I have done loads in my time.
Naked ironing is not a good idea;) put it that way.
Amongst falling down the stairs etc

You went to the GP's when you clearly should have gone to A&E? No wonder your mom found glass in your hair for days as well!

(Spending time in A&E picking glass out of people's hair = :/)

It was in the olden days when you only went to A&E for serious things like death and testicular injuries.:D

A lead chaos one?
Hopefully it wasn't a Nurgle or he could have lost the foot ;)

Erm, the only household injuries i've had apart from the obvious ones have come from things like solding iron (hold it by the handle, and watch how you pick it up:p).
Slicing my thumb badly on a chainsaw, not quite as dramatic as it sounds i'd just put the chain back on it and went to check it was moving ok by manually pulling the chain round. Cue lots of blood all over the blade, and me trotting back into the house rather sharpish. I didn't let it slow me down much, about 10 minutes later i was back on the job, with my thumb thoroughly wrapped up and still oozing :p

I do tend to take all the safety precautions with power tools now though, googles, earmuffs and aprons when approriate ;)
