would you buy or rent at the moment and what sort of prices would you be willing to pay for a semi-detached house with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.

how does shared ownership work with overall regards but down to repairs etc? if they own half they should pay half - is that right or am i naive?

Depends how much money you have on whether you buy or rent, Most would say Rent at the mo but Me I would be looking for somebody who is desperate to get out there mortgage & cheeky bid them, Either that or get a wreck & do it up yourself over time, Sweet if you are a batchelor with no nagging women about.

thought about that. i don't mind living in a work in progress lol. i've yet to have a nagging gf/wife so its a possibility.
 
I'm down the track tomorrow so I'll look along the terraces to see if owts for sale, One on Rugby road or Cov road would be sweet as long as you got rear access via the track, that track makes those propertys Top in my opinion.
 
I wouldn't say anywhere in Hinckley is bad, others would say down Wykin I s'pose but then that's where my allotment is & the people have been fine by me. House prices won't be good around that manor though which is an obvious consideration for you house buyers.
I'd look for a terrace with added benefits like those I mentioned before with the track & rear access. Another option is one of the terraces that surround Queens park near me. A gate at the end of your garden leading on to a park transforms a small terrace into a desirable property without the added cost.
 
You got one of the allotments near the park then malc? (Where i fly my kite)

Theres a few houses around the brookside area as well.

When you turn into the park there is the entrance to the trailer park on the right, On the left there Was a piece of green that has been dug over, fenced off & turned into 5 allotments, Mine is the First & my Mas' is the 2nd. :cool:
Me tattys are in by the way. :D
 
Congrats yer I've seen it. Looks smart the way they've fenced it of tbh.
