Not done any overclocking before, need a lot of assitance please.

I'm using CPUZ and Speedfan as Coretemp won't work on Vista 64. Haven't got the time to wait around watching stress tests, need to know the 'average'.

I have this Q6600, currently at 2.79ghz, 310@9x. With a Tuniq Tower.

I set voltages to auto.

How do I go about overclocking this RAM on this motherboard. The options in the bios are confusing, A, B, C and D with loads of numbers.

How
and how far can this 8800GT be pushed on stock cooling?

Deeply thankful for all advice recieved, I've never done any overclocking before.

Will post screenshots once I get some figures :)

you should stree test it really.

just keep adding FSB in 10s or 20s or in smallish steps and stability check it on small fft's for 10minutes, then do the same again. you can proably knock it straight to 3ghz to start with providing you have good temps.

Overclocking is not something that can be done in 5 mins and then left... takes time and patients and a lot of fiddling around to get the settings right and the machine stable.. you are best to take your time read the various posts on the fourms for beginers and do the job properly
