how annoying are bus drivers

I got on the bus the other day. Whipped out a £20 note (that's all I had) and he laughed at me. Money's money really. He then proceeded to clip the wing mirror off a car. Moody old git!

Although I very rarely get the bus myself, I remember at secondary school and college some mates would often use £20 notes and the bus drivers would let them off :)

I think our angelic friend is either a bus driver or has too much time on his hands over the summer holidays while he anxiously awaits his GCSE results.

I had already finished A levels before GCSE's were even thought of.

Although what relevence that has fails me. And my occupation has been mentioned before.

What annoys me with bus drivers around where i live is that they always expect to be let out from bus stops but never let you out!

I will add that i absolutely despise buses. They cause me so much stress, they clogg up London (and every other town) like you wouldnt believe. And on country roads they stop every 2 minutes blocking the entire road.

HATE them :(

I like them stickers on the back of them "let the bus go first" .... yea right, so they can drive you mad till they stop again.

Buses are crap, routes are designed to make you change as much as possible.

I prefer using Black Cabs, they don't smell, the driver can speak english and it doesn't stop to let acne ridden school kids on.

You obviously live in a part of NW London that's not as NW as the part I live in - black cabs cease to exist once you pass Harrow :D

You take a black cab back home from the city to NW London every workday?

Obviously not, I get the tube to my office but my job involves hopping to other sites and when the van isn't available it's either the bus or black cab, the company's paying so what one would I go for? ;)

I enjoy it when bus drivers do this. Gives me an excuse to floor it :)

A lot of bus drivers in our area do seem to think they have automatic right of way though. Idiots.

I will let them out if it is busy, but just because they indicate doesn't mean they suddenly have right of way, aint my fault they have a massive vehicle, should have got something smaller if they can't pull out.

I tend to give way when I can to let buses pull out. Once though there was a bus stationary at a bus stop indicating to the left and the car in front of me indicated right to overtake and I followed and the road was clear ahead (straight road).

Now as the driver in front of me was driving rather slowly the bus driver then took it upon himself to choose that moment to pull out with the indicator still indicating left! Lady in front hammered on the brakes and so did I only a fraction too late!

Upshot - expensive repair bill for me of both cars - I asked why she hammered on the brakes and the reply was "it's against the law not to allow buses to pull out!" Talk about stupidity. Anyway I was held fully to blame (correctly) for not keeping a correct distance behind the car in front of me.

The bus driver admitted moving slowly from the kerb with the indicator still on left and got guess what - a ticking off.
