I found a tenner today, looked down and there it was at my feet... That was about an hour ago... bought me a bottle of lucozade, pint of milk, some chocolate for the mrs and I am still quids in. Now that was lucky :)

no one ever really wins. or they wouldn't be open.

you only remember the wins he's told you about and he will not mention when he's lost 500 quid

I've been putting on £2-£5 accumulators on since the beginning of this season. I do a 10 fold, check the teams current league pos (on the back), look at the odds on favourite and follow football so I'm alright with current team form. so far it has come in once and I got £245.

I base the above on 90% luck and 10% skill I'd say. Will something similar come in again?, I'd say maybe but personally do it for the fun and excitement.

sometimes it is complete luck, for example, I bet £20 on southend to beat man united at home back in '06, was at the game, we did it, and i won £180 back. If only I backed eastwood as first scorer, would have been 480 quid :(

Well i think like anyone its down to odds/luck/and being jammy.

Long story short jealous of my mate (some aspects anyway) has 2x kids/ex wife & bets on football £50-600 give or take a week.

Went Xmas shopping around 11am with my mate T today. He nipped to bookies and had paid out £50 in the week and won 1k. A month back (£600) a lot to loose of course ................... Won 4k!

here I am with my mere £200 max to spend on everyone for xmas and stuggle for months on end with rent/food. £800 a month wage.

In it to win it i guess i don't follow any football & randomly bet on (euro lottery) (mainly lucky dip but only big euro) and get smeg all.

You are lucky to have a buddy like this, just bet with him on whatever he does....

Ask him for help.

He is your friend so he will surely help you out.

If he is that good, and a mate, then just place the exact bets that he does and then you will be a winner too. That is, if you trust that he wins more overall (which he doesn't).

e; great minds, Sp1ke

Funny you should say that, his sister gave him £10 last week i think , and won her £200 in the Newcastle game this evening.

So ill nag him to do me a £10 bet hehe :)

Slowly building up my photography clients (Weddings from next year) mainly looking at that to get me retail part time as its sapping my sole/life

What makes you think wedding photography won't do the same thing?

< wedding tog :p

Go with him when he does his betting and observe.

Prob better than telling him to bet for you. Unless you can't make it.

If people win on betting - everyone knows about it every time

if they lose then he wont tell anyone - simples. The only people who win are the bookies thats why they are rich.

This is very true,

They've got a network of maths geniuses working the odds out for them. The local punter has no chance.

i actually enjoy doing my photography and everyone (people/model/seascape) is different

& have asked to join him but going to do small bets each month rather than week

When he took his £4000 winnings there were 10 suckers £600 out of pocket. I doubt he would've mentioned anything if he lost that £600. :p
